Property in this region ranges from seaside holiday apartments and villas, many of them new-builds, with seasonal or long-term letting potential. There is a wide choice of village houses further inland, villas with a garden and pool, and former estates or mas that can be developed as gites or chambres d’hote holiday accommodation. Prices are slightly higher than in the Aude and Hérault north of Perpignan, but after quite dramatic increases in 2003-04 prices have now stabilised, with good value properties still to be found.
