The region

We specialise in the southern part of Languedoc-Roussillon – known as Pyrénées-Orientales (66) - on the last stretch of French Mediterranean coast that terminates at the Pyrenees and the border with Spain. The largest city is Perpignan (110,000) which is an important cultural and administrative centre, and located about half an hour or less from the main coastal resorts. These include Canet, St Cyprien (third largest leisure port on the Mediterranean), Argelès-sur-mer (7 kms of sandy beaches, and a busy marina) and the historic artists’ town of Collioure.

Perpignan has an international airport, with direct flights from Britain; and fast rail links – from March 2010 Barcelona will be just 40 minutes away by high speed TGV train. The region offers 300 days of sunshine a year, an unspoilt coastline, winter skiing in the Pyrenees, golf, water sports, diving, sailing, walking, cycling, and superb climate, food and local wines, all making for a relaxed and pleasant way of life.
